Talking House develops and produces original projects, and works with musical artists to help develop their work and bring out their best recorded performances. We market this original content through distribution and media partners that use music in their products or as a product, including record labels, film producers, TV producers, and advertising agencies. We also produce projects on behalf of our media partners, providing a full slate of production expertise in project management and oversight, composition, arrangement and audio production and mastering.

A Band Called Pain - Beautiful Gun
Hooks and crushing riffs that stay with you all day and define your dreams all night. Melodic and hardcore vocals, blazing guitar, tight rumbling bass and drums. Electrifying live show now touring the west from Reno to Fresno to LA's famed Whisky A-Go-Go. Their track "Holy" appeared on the SAW II Official Motion Picture Soundtrack. -
Blueprints of Jazz
A 10 disc series uncovering the greatest jazz innovators. Talking House producers Marc Weibel and Stephen Smith undertake a major effort to catalogue the historic breakthroughs and current adventures of some of jazz's greatest architects. Production is underway now on albums featuring greats like Mike Clark, Donald Bailey and Billy Harper, with support from friends Odean Pope, Tyrone Brown, Christian McBride, Donald Harrison, Patrice Rushen, Christian Scott and many others. -

Oakland's visionary funk prophet FEMI is currently holed up with producer pc muñoz, sculpting her compositions into a unique new collection. Due Fall 2008. -

The Ilonggos Story/Remembering Camp Roxas (working title)
Talking House will be providing a bold, adventurous score for this documentary about the contributions of pioneering Filipino immigrants on the Micronesian island of Guam. Slated for a 2008 release and sponsored by the Guam Humanities Council/National Endowment for the Humanities. -
Joan Jeanrenaud - Strange Toys
We are proud to announce that world-renowned cellist Joan Jeanrenaud has completed her brand-new album of all-original material, Strange Toys, with Talking House producer (and funk/avant-garde artist) pc muñoz and TH ace engineer Justin Lieberman. -
Kerry Gulbranson
Personal, emotionally driven songwriting from this angelic-voiced singer/guitarist in the North Carolina mountains. Kerry says writing a song is a cathartic, therapeutic event. She hopes others find a little of themselves in her songs. Album now in pre-production. -
The Trophy Fire - A Lifetime in the Middle of the Ocean
Ben Flanagan and Jamie McGoldrick have joined with Talking House to launch their new band project The Trophy Fire, now in production on an album for release this year. Well-loved as the singer/songwriters behind Live 105 and Noise Pop 2006 faves Dear Kerosene, Ben and Jamie maintain their proclivity for power-pop and curious, sweet melodies, while also exploring soundscapes closer to modern songsters like Elliot Smith and Ben Folds with a few loving references to early 80s thru 90s indie pop.

Inferno
Talking House completed the final sound mix for celebrated artist Sandow Birk's new feature film Inferno, a modern take on Dante's Inferno executed in the toy theatre style of puppetry. Directed by Sean Meredith, the film's screenplay and set designs are based on Birk's drawings and text interpretation of Dante's The Divine Comedy; Birk's and Marcus Sanders' treatment of the entire Comedy cycle has been published by Chronicle Books. -
Jason DEBO - Eucalyptus Fields of Sugar Cane
Talking House artist Jason DEBO's debut album of quirky, cerebral, sensitive, hard-hitting garage-rock has just been released. Jason often says his music sounds "like a personal problem." But we know he means it's "passionately driven." Citing diverse influences as diverse as Wilco, John Lennon, Foo Fighters, Elvis Costello and Elliot Smith... sensitive songwriters all... Nineteen Arrests, No Convictions!
Talking House composer / producer Paul Ruxton is finishing up the score for Sundance and EMMY Award winner Judy Irving's new in-progress documentary Nineteen Arrests, No Convictions!, which will have a sneak preview August 15th in the Film Arts Foundation's "True Stories" series at Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco. -
